  1. available RDF dataset is ... invalid

I tried to use it, but --

FatalError: The value of attribute "rdf:resource" associated with an element type "d:description-full" must not contain the '<' character.[Line = 27, Column = 318]

    Better luck next time!

  2. RDF dataset

The RDF data is at http://semantic-conference.com/scheduler/sessions.rdf

It wasn't properly linked from this page before, but now it is.

It's served as text/plain at present, which of course isn't ideal. But it's RDF data.
  3. frustrating!

That little scissors icon shows up when you hover between the session list and the "Your Schedule" box, if your browser window is fairly wide -- upper right gets you nothing but a click back to the event homepage. I don't understand why these download/export options are presented in such a sooper seekrit fashion -- rather than just giving us simple click links on the page.

In addition to the obvious de-obfuscation of those links, what I'd like to see straight off is threefold --

    1. select all events, so I can download a complete list to my iCal -- and to have that export include *all* data, including speaker names and such, which it doesn't at the moment

    2. CLEAR my schedule -- so I can build one for myself, and another for a co-worker, for instance, without manually de-selecting each one

    3. checkboxes on each event, with one "Add Selected" button, minimizing the delays in building a complex schedule. The "Add" button takes a few seconds per session, and if you're building a complex schedule (perhaps including a few options for each time period), it can take rather a long time to get through the whole list!

    Thanks for your consideration.

  4. Some Tips re. Exposing Event Linked Data

    Hi

    Please consider the following:
    1. RDFa for marking up all the tracks
    2. <link rel="alternate"...> for exposing the RDF information resource URI that describes this conference and it's tracks
    3. Content Negotiation such that when a User Agent asks for RDF it gets RDF describing the conference and its tracks etc..

  5. RDF is available

    Hello Andreas,

Make sure that all 138 events are visible and scroll the screen all the way to the top. If you hover your mouse to the top right-ish part of the screen you will see a little icon pop up with a scissor. Click it and you will see the RDF/XML export.

    Cheers,

  6. RDF dataset available?

Hi, first let me say that the demo is really impressive and illustrates well how to combine faceted search and semantic web data to get a powerful browsing interface. I was just wondering if the RDF dataset is somewhere available? We'd like to add the dataset to our SWSE index. Many thanks! Andreas.
