Ontomantics is an easy to use web application generator, based on an ontological description of business activity. Business users can directly map their processes while the information system remains under IT control. Thanks to the ontology layer, insulation of business users from IT becomes possible, enabling new approaches in customizing applications while IT organizations can concentrate on systems. The purpose of the presentation is to detail what is a business process ontology as per Ontomantics and what are the benefits of such implementation.
Philippe founded Ontomantics in Orleans in order to help business users to be more efficient while optimizing their organization information system total cost of ownership. Over a twenty-seven year career with international leaders at Schlumberger, Sagem, R.R Donnelley & Sons and Business Objects, he has gathered an unique management execution experience in the field of research and development, quality, reliability, sales, marketing and manufacturing, during which he has practiced how to leverage information systems to make operations more productive. More specifically these last ten years as Business Objects Manufacturing head were instrumental in revealing the path to establishing Ontomantics. He received a master's degree in engineering from Ecole Nationale Supérieure d' Arts et Métiers Aix-en-Provence and Paris in France.
