How are the semantics in your semantic web application stored? Is the subject-predicate-verb format of the triple-store confusing to implement and limiting? This session will present a new semantic store for the semantic web; the Entity-Instance-Relationship Model™. The Entity-Instance-Relationship Model™ provides a comprehensive semantic store for managing the three key elements of semantics: Entities, Entity-Instances (occurrences of unique entities), and Entity-Instance-Relationships (the semantic correlations among Entities and Entities-Instances). This flexible semantic store elegantly addresses the difficult challenges of defining type and sense of diverse instances of entities and semantically assembling them in large distributed collections.
