A Semantic Wiki provides all of the benefits of wiki technology with the benefits of semantic technology. An OWL DL model is created in the wiki using the included OWL editor, or imported into the wiki and provides a formal information model for all wiki content. In this way the content of the wiki can be queried using SPARQL. The result is a new class of collaboration and content mamagement technology with many uses in large enterprises and as the undelying technology for social computing websites. The Semantic Wiki includes the functionallity to host communities and includes a robust role based security model. The semantic wiki is an excellent example of the use of semantic technology for commercial purposes right now.
