Level: Business/Strategic
This is a concise “get up to speed” tutorial
on industry directions, current state of the art, and business value
of semantic technologies. Attendees will learn what semantic technologies
are; what’s happening with them in both R&D and practical
application; who’s doing what; why they’re doing it;
and where it’s all going. This tutorial will be as “plain
English”, and as non-technical as possible. It is intended
for business executives, investors, individuals who are new to the
field, and others who want an analyst’s perspective on what’s
going on. Attendees will gain background and appreciation
for issues, topics and latest developments being reported during
this year’s conference sessions.
